Photovoltaic Systems
Photovoltaic systems harness the sunlight, absorbed by solar panels, which can then be converted into electricity or heat. IPI AG’s photovoltaic systems typically include an array of photovoltaic modules, an inverter, a battery pack for storage, interconnection wiring, and (optionally) a solar tracking mechanism.
Depending on your business’ needs, objectives and unique circumstances, we are able to offer an array of photovoltaic solutions of various sizes, locations and invested volumes. We leverage years of experience and have successfully completed a number of global projects – from smaller 10kWp rooftop systems through larger photovoltaic free-standing plants with power up to 45MW. IPI AG’s solar panel plants are currently supplying energy to numerous locations and businesses across Europe, including our innovation park in Relzow.
Thermal Solar Systems
Unlike photovoltaic systems, which can be used to generate both energy and heat, the thermal solar systems absorb sunlight in order to heat water. We at IPI AG are committed to providing our clients with cleaner, more renewable energy solutions and we work with partners all around the globe to supply them with state-of-the-art thermal solar systems.
We partner with Emkasol GmbH, a subsidiary of IPI AG, to create thermal solar systems with various capacities and unmatched performance. We manufacture the solar collectors and their accessories ourselves, and our professional team also oversees and manages the entire plant planning and construction process. This includes connecting the systems to the appropriate heat pumps or pellet heating systems, as well as oil and gas combustion plants.
In the past few years, we have successfully implemented several global projects in partnership with companies in Romania and Russia, totalling over 130 square meters of collector area. As experts in renewable energy solutions, we at IPI AG offer planning, construction and expert advice both on the implementation of solar thermal systems on their own, or in combination with other heat generators and storage systems.
Wind Energy Systems
Currently, wind energy is mostly harnessed with the help of horizontal wind turbines. They produce greener energy but at the same time, the design of their blades puts hundreds of species of birds at a risk of endangerment or even extinction. Flying at high speeds, birds can sometimes collide with the horizontal axis of the wind turbines and the impact often results in serious harm and death.
We at IPI AG are committed to working with our clients and partners towards a renewable, cleaner future and this includes protecting the lives and habitats of other species. This is why we have dedicated our time, efforts and resources to designing wind energy turbines that not only produce cheaper renewable energy but also don’t put the lives of the avian species at risk.
Our years of research have culminated in the development of state-of-the-art vertical wind turbines which match the horizontal turbines in terms of performance and energy capacity without posing a risk to the birds.
Currently, our subsidiary GDI SRL, is collaborating with scientists and researchers from the Technical University of Moldova to further develop and manufacture wind turbines with a vertical axis at a reduced production cost to make this renewable energy solution more widely available. Read more.
